Solar Thermal Systems are designed to use the Sun as the “Energy Source” and the Collector as the receiver of the energy. The Solar Heat Transfer Fluid or Hot Water depending on the climate is piped to the heat exchanger and pumped back to the solar panel. The storage tank is also piped through the heat exchanger and is heated by the Solar Transfer Fluid. The hot water that is stored in the Storage Tank(s) is then used as Domestic Hot Water for your hot water needs.
Additional tank(s) can be used to store heating fluid for your buildings heating system. This fluid is then circulated throughout the building providing heat from the Solar Collectors with backup from the Boiler or Heat Pump on cloudy days
This same type of system can heat your pool too.
The diagrams on the right show how these systems are installed in a typical building and how they are connected.
Eco-Tech can design, install and service your Solar Thermal System to provide you with Renewable Energy from the Sun to heat your water , building or pool at a fraction of the cost of using non-renewable fossil fuels.
